Tucci and the Clavius Collection', Part III, 580 Madison Avenue, New York' through Bonhams. It is a remarkable collection with over 400 lots. Our choice is lot no. 267 a Montblanc No. 221 Demonstrator Fountain Pen which, as the catalogue states is from the 1970s and fashioned from transparent acrylic so that the piston mechanism and all parts are visible. 5 3/8" (13.5 cm). image CHARLIE CHAPLIN'S CANE A Charlie Chaplin Cane 1953 (to be sold through Bonhams on 13 Jun 2010 7601 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles). A small bamboo cane with a semi-hooked handle. Size: 34in. Bonham's provide a note on provenance: "The current owner's grandparents had an antique shop in Lausanne, Switzerland where Chaplin was a regular client once he moved to Vevey. On May 9, 1953, Chaplin encountered the shopkeepers' son at the store who showed the star a drawing he did; Chaplin signed it (as noted in above description) and gave the boy the cane he was carrying that day. It is possible that this cane could have been used in one of Chaplin's films, though he had many of them so it's difficult to know for certain. Nonetheless, this was one of Chaplin's canes, gifted directly by him to our consignor's father 57 years ago" Direct link

A GENTLEMAN'S NIGHT CAP, ENGLAND, 1610-20 (lot 4) the linen ground finely embroidered with gold thread curling stems with carnations, bunches of grapes, thistles, roses, pansies, iris and strawberries. Provenance: Sir Thomas Cave, d 1666, a staunch supporter of Charles I. He helped defend the Manor House and church against Parliamentarians at the time of the battle of Naseby. Direct link
