Tema e Variazioni stool by Fornasetti
Under the stewardship of Barnaba (son of the illustrious Piero) the house of Fornasetti continues to set a world standard in both the imagination and execution of its precious furniture and porcelain.
All Fornasetti pieces are still painstakingly executed and decorated by hand in the atelier, each one inheriting that sublime classical elegance unique to the name. This immaculate silk-screen printed, hand lacquered and hand painted wooden stool is inspired by plate no. 171 of the famous Tema e Variazioni* series by Piero himself.
It has been created exclusively for 20ltd and is available in only 20 editions. The Tema e Variazioni series, created by Piero Fornasetti, was inspired by his chance discovery in a French 19th magazine of the face of Lina Cavalieri. Fornasetti’s crafted interpretations of her classical and enigmatic features have made her image an icon of 20th century design.
