Inspired by a necklace Marcel made with his daughter Joy, this very personal piece is a unique talisman. The result of a six month global quest, it comprises a sublimely ingenious and eclectic collection of beads: some simple, some colourful; some rare, some commonplace; some cheap, some very expensive; some unfathomably ancient, some made with state-of the-art technology; some from the sea, some from the earth and one even from space; some that have travelled continents being traded for goods and treasures; some that have a story from the past and some whose story is only just beginning.
