It was whilst working on a photographic project with Philip Treacy at university that a meeting with the late Isabella Blow propelled Ram Shergill into the world of fashion. Since then he became one of key imagists of the avant-garde Cool Britannia fashion scene and one of the leading fashion photographers on the British scene working on editorial and advertising commissions for Vogue, Harpers BAZAAR, Tatler, i-D, POP and Dazed & Confused, to name just a few, seminally capturing such figures as Amy Winehouse, Naomi Campbell and the Scissor Sisters. He has also had his work exhibited in the Whitechapel Art Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
